Have any of you heard the new Gap commercial? Here are the words:
2, 4, 6, 8!
'Tis the time to liberate!
Go classic tree, go plastic tree, go plant a tree, go without a tree!
You 86 the rules!
You do what just feels right!
Happy do whatever you want-a-kah and to all a cheery night!
This commercial bothered me the first time I saw it...but ever since it bothers me more and more!! What happened to Christmas, where has it gone?
Christmas is disappearing before our eyes and no one is doing anything about it! How many Christians are going to be lining up at Gap, Old Navy or Banana Republic? This is crazy!!
Christmas isn't about the presents anyway! I think we are forgetting the true meaning of Christmas....the birth of Christ!
Santa doesn't matter, presents don't matter, decorations don't matter, food doesn't matter...who cares about the lights, bows and glitter? Without Christ it is all pointless anyway!!
Okay..I know this is going to hit hard with a lot of people (including myself) but check out this list of "Companies against Christmas"

After a lot of discussion around our house, Mr. Goodbar and I have decided that there is NO topic that can have too much prayer (okay, that didn't take a lot of discussion but the next part did).
We are expecting a BABY!!! After the last pregnancy, we debated not telling people for a while, but we figured you can't have too much prayer. You can't have too big of a support system. You can't have too many people caring!!
We went to the doctor and the baby is great. No signs of any problems from before! The heart beat is wonderful!!! We go back in two weeks for another ultrasound....the doctor said it is only for my comfort!
We are due in June!!!
Please pray for us and the baby!!! We can't have too much prayer!!!!
We will rejoice in what God has blessed us with now and not worry about the future...for HE is in control!
